Go to Settings -> Marketing -> Marketing Index and then enter your PIN if required.
There are two types of campaigns available are:
- Simple Campaign
- Advanced Campaign
The difference between the two campaign types is how targeted the marketing campaign is and how advanced the filtering is on your clients database.
Simple Campaign Filters
- Visiting Information
- Hair Colour Information
- Preferred Stylist
- Age Gap
- Hair Type
- Skin Type
- Source of The Client
- Last Booking Outcome
- Mobile Number Saved
- Email Address Saved
From the Marketing Index screen Click the SIMPLE CAMPAIGN button and you will be taken to the Marketing Campaign Criteria screen as shown.
Normally a simple campaign has enough filtering however the advance campaign is great for targeted marketing. For example if you wanted to rid of excess stock, you could do a promotion on a specific brand of product and target people who don’t normally buy retail products.
The different filter options will impact the number of clients you are targeting with the SMS (text) messages, you will see the Matching Clients dynamically refresh itself after each criteria adjustment. In the image below the campaign has been targeted at females who have visited in the past 12 months who visited the salon up to 6 times or more in that time frame and have a mobile number stored on the database, the Matching Clients result went from 5,501 down to 983.
A key filter on both the basic and advanced campaign options is the Exclude Future Bookings option. This will remove any clients that already have a future appointment on the calendar, enabling this will stop clients getting with the salon for receiving unnecessary SMS (text) memssages.
Also another key filter have enabled is to include only clients who have a mobile number stored on the database.
Once you are happy with the search criteria and the amount of targeted clients simply Click SAVE. Please be aware you will need to create a promotion for campaign criteria you have just created, Click here to see how to create a promotion.
Now that you have created the marketing criteria that you want your SMS (text) messages or emails to be sent to, you are able to create the actual message that the clients will receive. To create the promotion simply Click the CREATE PROMOTION button at the top of the screen.
A new window will be displayed and this for the creation of your message simply name your promotion in the Promotion Name field, then enter a valid to and from date for the length of the promotion you want to run using the Valid From and Valid To calendar boxes.
Next select a Send Date and Send Time from the date calendar box and text field, then Click the Correspondence Type drop down list and Click either Email or SMS/Text depending on the type of promotion you would like to create. Once you have Clicked either Email or SMS/Text the the window will change and allow you to input in your message, please be aware that there is a character limit with the SMS/Text service so you may need to adjust your message accordingly to fit within that limit, Salon Control will display how many characters are left at the bottom of the window.
If you are creating a SMS/Text promotion there is two useful links to put into your message:
- If you put [SALON_NAME] into your message Salon Control will display your salons name in the message to save you typing it.
- If you put [SALON_PHONE] into your message Salon Control will display your salons phone number in the message to save you typing it.
Once you are happy with your message simply Click the CONFIRM button and the message will start sending on the defined date and time.
